To rope in more and more mobile lovers, Smartphone manufacturers are trying frantically to add extra CPU cores and RAM to their new phones. There was a time when there were only numbered smartphones with 3GB RAM, but at present it seems to have come a deluge of Android devices boasting 3GB RAM. Now that this amount of RAM is almost a common feature, ingenious mobile makers taking a step ahead have had their eyes on a whopping 4GB RAM. Undoubtedly a phone with 4GB RAM sounds to be a phone with incredible gaming and multi-tasking capabilities, and it is bound to attract folks who like high end specification mobile phones.<
Asus beats all others to it as Asus Zenfone 2 was the first phone to be introduced with 4GB RAM. Asus got a tremendous response from customers, and company was paid back in full for implementing this amount of RAM. This phone is still selling like hot cakes. Currently phones with 4GB RAM are few, but the number of such phones is likely to increase exponentially by the last quarter of 2015. We will have a close watch on upcoming 4GB phones and keep updating our list.

VIVO X6 Plus
Vivo X6 Plus is a slim, smart looking and tempting phone with a not so powerful processor , a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek 6752. If Vivo had done justice to X6 Plus, it could have used at least Helio X10. An average CPU aside, it is backed by 4GB RAM and a Mali-T760MP2 GPU. The device has a 5.7-inch large FHD AMOLED display but with a low screen to body ratio and lots of space above and below the screen. Coming to the design, especially the front and back panel, Vivo X5 Plus, to a great extent, seems to be inspired by iPhone 6. The device runs on FunTouch OS, which is a custom skin placed on top of Android 5.1. It is a hybrid dual SIM mobile i.e. you can use the second SIM slot either for a SD card or micro SIM card.
In spite of being a 5.7-inch large screen phone, it draws power from a 3000mAh battery that is insufficient for this screen size and leaves a lot to be desired.

Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge
As expected S7 and S7 Edge are arrived with powerful to the date chipset Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM. Let it be known that instead of adding more CPU cores, Qualcomm has cut the total cores to 4 in two dual core clusters. They have done it to reduce the power consumption and to optimize the battery life. (Snapdragon 810 was hit hard by heating issue making it a flop in SoC market.)
Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are appeared to be the hardware updates of Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+ having 4GB RAM and Snapdragon 820 SoC. Both the devices come with extra-premium metallic body with eye-caching looks. Being the IP-68 certified devices, they are dust and water resistant and covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on front and back panel as well.
Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, are available in two variants in different regions across the world. While the US variant comes with Snapdragon 820 and dedicated memory slot, the another variant (for India and many other countries) features the Samsung in-house SoC Exynos 8890 Octa (octacore in two clusters) and a hybrid memory slot that shares space with SIM slot 2.
